987 Top 100 Countdown 2008
I must say that I'm honoured to know practically... well, 70 percent of the songs in the charts. how cool is that?! WOOHOO!!!!!!
Okay, calm down... deep breath... Despite a few surprises, the whole show went on pretty well. i think the heaviest disappointment for all the songs was... lemme see lemme see... well, there are quite a few actually:
Tattoo by Jordin Spark. (#64) O.O
Forever by Chris Brown (#44)
Gimme More by the Legendary Ms. Britney Spears (#43) I seriously thought she could do better than that....
Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis (#11) I thought she was going to make it to the top 5. Oh well...
Just Dance by lady Gaga (Totally not on the charts... I wonder why...)
Womanizer by Britney Spears (Didn't debut AT ALL)
Love Story by Taylor Swift (And again, a miss)
So What by Pink (Didn't hear it at all)
Hot N Cold by Katie Perry (I can't find it in the list I recorded...)
Save You by Simple Plan (A miss... well, understandable since it was new on radio... But hey, it was released on August, with the video on October!!!! Or so Wikipedia says...)
Anyways, all these are just based on my opinion. No offence meant. You might be thinking like, 'what the hell?! Britney doesn't even deserve to be on the charts' and stuff. I hate to say this, but face it, her songs (despite her nude and censored videos) are actually nice. For me, that is. In music, I don't think we should not listen to nice songs and let our opinion of the song get tarnished before you even get to listen to it just because the singer's reputation isn't very good and stuff.
Keeping an open mind is what's important...
Anyways, enough of all the Britney politics, I congratulate One Republic's 'Apologize' for the being the Top Song of the Year. Well, in Singapore that is. Following 'Apologize' ('It's too late to apologize' somehow is a bit too sadistic to end year 2008 don't you think?) is 'Low' by Flo Rida ft. T-Pain (overplayed everywhere), followed by Take a Bow by Rihanna.
Now that we're done with the charts, let's get on with good ol' 09. It's the 'mooooo' year!!!! Wowzers... how time flies... Pretty soon enough, we'll all be old hags rotting at home knitting gloves everyday.
lol. Just kidding.
Happy 2009 people!!! May all your wishes come true and the Global Recession to end soon!
Goodynight!

A Day Away from 2009
Yo peeps, it's the last day of the year 2008. -wipes fake tear off face-
The PMR result slips were handed out yesterday. Cousin Sze May got straight A's (smartass, CONGRATS!!! XD) as predicted, and I bet our seniors were all jumpy and almost had nervous breakdowns when they were a step away from taking their results.
Sigh, next year, it'll be our turn. So, I'll just shut up for now.
If only I could find the answer to take it all away... -Save You by Simple Plan.
Ahh, such soothing music.... It's an awesome song!!! I found it when I visited the 98.7 FM homepage to check out the Top 20.
Speaking of which, the 987 Top 100 countdown is today (well, duh)!!!!!! 12 noon to 10 pm. I'm not gonna miss it!!!!
Happy New Year's Eve people!!!

Boxing Day
It's Boxing Day today, where are the presents?
lol. Nah, I don't need presents, I already have 'em; the happiest moments of my life. :)
Gawd, I sounded so corny there. Ewww...
But anyways, I spent my Boxing Day by assorting those clothes my cousins gave us (I just threw most of the shirts aside; I'm VERY VERY picky when it comes to clothes), tidying my closet (new clothes!! YAY!), surfin' the net (like always) and playing Wii.
Hahahahahhahaha.....
I suck at it. A few dance moves like the Point move and I'm all sweaty and knocked out.
But still, I did get nice scores when I played. -innocent grin-
Come to think of it, the moves are like those exercise moves you see on TV where all the hot blondes demonstrate on the Exercise Channel. o.o
Speaking of hotties, Natsume's mom is REALLy one. Okay, I did see her make some cameo appearances (once or twice I think) on the cover of the Hana to Yume magazines, but I couldn't get a close-up. But now that I've visited Sorasan's LJ, wow. Igarashi Kaoru... Sounds a bit weird for Natsume's mom, but still a nice name I suppose. XD
(I know I sounded lame there. My apologies. )
Anyways, it has been a long day. I'd better get some sleep now. Toodles.

Christmas
I think this year's Christmas is one of my most 'special' Christmas' throughtout my lifetime. Throughout this whole special occasion, my family (plus my grandma and my cousin) were all stuck in the car travelling back to Johore from Penang. Ain't it cool?
The trip to Penang was quite okay, despite the rocky start. Stuffed our faces wth food, gained weight, became lazy, took naps during those hot afternoons, went to the big G (Plaza Gurney) three days in a row just wandering around shopping, swore to hit the gym when we got back yadda yadda yadda. Yeah, basically, that's what we did.
Okay, there's a lot more stuff we did but I'm too lazy to blog it all. Don't know why but I'm always feeling sluggish lately.
On a brighter note, I bought FOUR Sarah Dessen books from Borders at Queensbay. YESH!!!!! Screw the reading list I made previously, I'm reading the whole set of books I bought. BWAHAHAHAHA!!!
And there's no MRC training tomorrow..... -big grin on face-
But there's still tuition. Argh. And school books to buy. Damn.
Anyways, I have to review every single story I missed these few days, which is A LOT. Ish... And I need to wrap those new books and arrage them nicely on the bookshelf. SIGH.
Oh yeah, and erm, Merry Christmas everyone. :)

100th post: Comic Fiesta 2008 & Penang
Should have been in Sunway Pyramid going to the Comic Fiesta 2008 but I'm not. Should have been browsing through loveariddle's or kidchan's marvellous works (I think they're there...) but I'm not.
Instead, I'm in Penang, eating all the local food in the world and shopping for New year's clothes. Saw 3 shirts I really liked at the sports shop in plaza Gurney earlier on. I didn't buy the hoodie as it was too expensive, didn't buy another shirt I liked as it was too big, but I did buy the dark blue one, despite the fact that my mum and my cousin ignored my protests of the shirt being too fitting. This women's shirts these days are really hugging your body until you can't breathe.
Anywyas, shall elaborate when I get back to Johore. Toodles.

Detective Conan the Movie 12: Full Score of Fear
Music is a way humans connect to God. You should sing as if you were praying sincerely to God. -Doumoto Kazuki, Detective Conan the Movie 12: Full Score of Fear
The movie spells A-W-E-S-O-M-E.
I recommend it to all music lovers and the choir people the whole wide world. After listening to all the songs in the movie (well, I did get the chilly feeling at the beginning), particularly Amazing Grace, I felt myself just staring at the computer screen (yes, I use my PC for DVD purposes instead of the TV) in awe. I felt absolutely relaxed at the sound of the music.
Amazing Grace is a song of forgiveness. -Akiba Reiko, Detective Conan the Movie 12: Full Score of Fear
That's it, I shall download that song now and listen to it whenever I'm angry. :)
Going to Penang tomorrow with my grandma and cousin, and I won't be able to attend the Comic Fiesta 2008 at Sunway Pyramid for the next two days... T.T Sacrificed that chance for this trip to be able to go to Penang to see our relatives and eat Penang food again. But it was worth it in the end.
P.S: If I have quoted any of the quotes above wrongly in any way, please excuse me and point them out to me. Thanks.
