A continuation of my geeky posts and a break from all the emo posts.

I am way behind times. But still, I cannot contain my excitement at the sight of THESE:

Release date: 1st May 2012.

Holy mama it's the last installment of the Kane Chronicles trilogy!!! Yippeee!!!! Finally, an end to all those questions and mysteries unsolved! I can't wait for it to come! MPH had better sell the hardcover version. If not, my 'The Throne of Fire' book would be the odd one out. I'm still looking out for The Red Pyramid hardcover version so that it matches my whole Kane Chronicles series and I can put all three books side by side. Yay!

ANd I have to agree with Rick Riordan, the cover is definitely the best out of all three Kane books. Love the colour contrast!

AND........... this:

Release date: 14th August 2012.

You have no idea how wide the silly grin on my face is right now. Rick Riordan, YOU. HAVE. JUST. MADE. MY. DAY. Here is an excerpt of Rick's post about the book and it's contents:

Also announced on Rock Center tonight: The Demigod Diaries, a book of new short stories set in Percy Jackson's world. This book comes out August 14, and will hopefully make the wait for Mark of Athena a little less painful! Included in the Demigod Diaries:

*A story from Luke Castellan's point of view, from the days when he adventured with Thalia and Annabeth. Many people have asked me to write an adventure prequel to The Lightning Thief. Here it is!

*A classic first-person Percy Jackson story, the first I've written since The Last Olympian. In this adventure, Annabeth and Percy's date is interrupted by the god Hermes, whose staff has been stolen by a fire-breathing giant. This cannot be good . . .

*A Leo Valdez story, set at Camp Half-Blood. As Leo builds the Argo II, something goes terribly wrong. Now Leo will need the help of Piper and Jason, or the entire camp might be destroyed.

*And, as announced on Rock Center, the anthology includes a debut short story from my son Haley. Since Haley inspired the entire Percy Jackson series, it seemed only right that I asked him to contribute his own original spin on Percy's world for this book. I was amazed at what Haley came up with. His brother Patrick, who's a tough editor, was quick to say, "Dad, his story is better than yours!" Haley ponders the question: "What happened to the demigods who fought with Kronos's army after the battle in Manhattan?" This is the story of one such demigod, and I have to admit, some of Haley's ideas are so good I wish I'd come up with them!

LUKE'S STORY!!!!! Can't wait for that one!!! XD

Okies, that's all for this post. I'm still waiting for The Mark of Athena, which will be released this fall. Here's to hoping that nothing goes wrong and Rick writes us an awesome, action-packed story in which Percy saves the day again!

Right now, all that's left are the bookshelves in my room where I need to rearrange all my storybooks again and slot in the new books. I'm out of space for my manga bookshelf, after Chinese New Year I'm planning to get the whole series of Alive: The Final Evolution (21 volumes) and if fate and money permit the original version of Death Note.

Bakuman can wait a while longer.

Hence, I need more space for my manga. As for books, I do as well. My hardcovers need to be separated into two rows now, because most of the new books I bought in December are all hardcovers (YAY!) and there's just no more space to squeeze them in one rack. Paperbacks... well, everything's the same.

Since I'm going to do all this during my CNY holidays, I'm considering doing a statistics chart for all my manga, you know, like what series I have, how many volumes are there and the amount of volumes I have in total. And I'll probably count how much money I spent just on manga alone. For books, it's too hard, because there are too many individual novels and I'm more interested in my manga collection since it's mine and mine alone, no sharing. Okay, except for a few; my sis does buy a few series which I don't read at all anyway. It's just there gathering dust at a corner somewhere.

Geeky, I know. Call me a nerd, freak, geek, whatever, but I've had this in mind ever since last year. Finally I can put this plan into action! Unless I procrastinate again and decide to do it some other day, that is.

Anyways, it's been such a long time since I've blogged. College is okay I suppose, I'm still torn between my career choices, to be honest. How long can I put this decision in front of me off anyway? The moment I get my results I will have to decide - to stay or leave and move on.

It's hard. It's hard wanting to try something new and take the first step out of square one. Sometimes, you just wonder if there would be any path for you to turn back and retake when you've taken a wrong turn.

I just wish I was brave enough to pursue what I desire for.

Friday the 13th

It was an okay day I guess. No encounters with any black cats.

Happy birthday to my best friend, Chia Yin!!!!!

In loving memory of Lele, the best dog one could ever have had.

You will be missed.

I'm sorry we- I couldn't be there for you. You left so suddenly, and I didn't get to know until the bombshell dropped on me when I came home.

I'm sorry we couldn't give you enough love in the end. It must've hurt so much and been so lonely staying in that cage at the vet's, suffering. I sincerely hope you find peace in the afterlife.

You were are the best dog ever. You helped me overcome my fear and immense dislike for animals, thank you. You guarded the house every day even though there were times you were sick. To be honest, I'm sort of glad you can find peace now, because I noticed you were so unhappy for the past few weeks it just hurts to see you so down. I hope you thought of us till the very last moment, you never left our thoughts throughout these days when you were away from us.

The cage at home is now so empty it feels weird without your presence around us.

You don't know what you've got until it's gone.

Rest in peace.

We won't forget you.

I suppose, in the end, it really does boils down to human nature: we just want the best for ourselves.

I'm gonna go online as much as possible while the freedom still lasts. It's a damn shame all good things have to come to an end.

I'll miss the Internet so, so much when we start getting bombarded with homework and study sessions.

I miss Convent. I miss the easygoing environment and relaxed, cheerful atmosphere a lot. Gosh, I can't believe I'm school-sick.
